One of my guitars is now for sale!
Dear All,
As I’ll start this new year with an “instrument reorganization”, I have this baby for sale. It’s a nylon-string classical electro-acoustic guitar, her name is Ibanez Salvador GA5TCE-NT. Beautiful clean sound, sharp pickup sound, and a Rockbag case – it all can be yours for 130 EUR. Write a mail if you are interested (bz@bzmusic.hu). Here is a pic, click on it to view it in a bigger size.
Quickie from around Xmas
Dear All!
The last concert of 2011 (Queen Tribute, PeCsa, Budapest) went really well, even with the fact that Zsolt Madai had to be replaced temporarily because of an ugly sickness (get well soon!!!!!!!). The fun fact is, that Jávor Delov applied for the gig just a day befor, but he was a-we-so-me, so congrats bro, it was a pleasure!!!!!!!!!!
And now something completely different. I’ve started to work a bit with the features of bzmusic.hu, so now it’s really and truly multilingual. By default, it shows up in the same language as your browser (I mean Hungarian for the magyar folks and English for the rest of the world – sorry, my Swahili and Mandarin are still close to zero)
Anyway, if you’d like to shitch languages, just look at the upper left corner, click and voilá! I’ve modified the last few posts too, so they work well with the new feature, but I won’t do ‘em all, because a) I’m lazy b) I’m outta time and c) I’m lazy.
But from now on, all the new posts will use the new look, so you won’t have to deal with some interesting but unknown language
Yet something different. You are asking me a lot in the strangest places, about things like “is Stonehenge still alive”, “is Wendigo still alive”, “is Kim Jong Il still alive” (the answer for this is no), and some other thingies. So, to tell the truth, 2011 was a really-really chaotic year for me musically, so yes, there are things to explain. I will do it very soon, I promise, in a “year-end summary”. But before that…
…I’ll eat some toast.
Stay tuned!
So, let’s roll with it
Okay, noone can accuse me of posting too often… My only excuse is that I’ve lived my last 2 months with 25-hour-long days, while writing and recording the new After Crying record and preparing for the 25th jubilee concert in the Palace of Arts. So, the concert happened, it was great, thanks for the full house and the standing ovation. The album has been born too with a crazy finish, it’s a healthy little alien.
Above there is a nice little song from the new record. It’s the Hungarian version, the English title is Free Fall, and it totally matches the state I’m in for the last 37 and a half years. But now, something new is rising, a projectI’ve been forming for a few months now with great musicians. This will roll with hyperspeed now, some crunch with blood and soul. Deatils reallyreallysoonipromise!
Secret rehearsal
There was a fan-tas-tic rehearsal with …………………………, ………………………… and …………………………, but I can’t tell you anything more because then I’d have to kill you.
Sziget Festival 2011
Prince rocked. Motörhead rocked. But the best part definitely was our spontaneous street-band with Jozzy, Dani Szebényi, Balázs Balogh and the Hungarian, French and other natives. Was great, guys! (hic)
Updates, just because
Okey folks, I know, I know. I wasn’t really typo-addict nowadays – these months went by as a blink of an eye, I remember running and running and running, and deadlines, and deadlines, and a bit more deadlines… Anyways, now I’m sitting in a hotel room in Las Vegas NV – unfortunately this trip has nothing to do with music, but at least I’ve finally visited Cabo Wabo Cantina, the bar of Sammy Hagar, the man with the most masculine voice ever. If you sing on stage, you’ll get a shot of his Cabo Wabo Tequila, and I can tell you, I’ve sang ’bout four times…

Jabba at the pool (Las Vegas, NV 14th of July 2011)
Okay, back to my own music. We’ve had some great After Crying concerts, and finally we have made an incredible STONEHENGE reunion at MetalFest 2011 Hungary. The rest of the Summer will be a bit quiet, only one After Crying gig in Sitke (H) and a Queen Jam to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Queen’s legendary Budapest concert.

Stonehenge, MetalFest 2011 Hungary
In the meantime we are writing crunchy new songs with Stonehenge, so be prepared to hear some newbies on our concert somewhere in late October or early November.
After Crying is celebrating its 25th anniversary, so there will be some gigs throughout Europe during the Fall, and we will have a symphonic concert in the Palace of Arts, Budapest on the 9th of November.
Some of you were asking about Wendigo and PhoeniX Files – well, now I can’t tell you anything for sure, we will have to regroup the forces somehow, so… ask me a bit later.
SHADOW MAN in da house
After many years of silence…
Shadow Man in 5… 4… 3…
Something new will appear here very soon, and I’m super excited… Just can’t wait!

(Sorry, this link is leading to a Hungarian language article about the special earplugs that I use. Anyway, Alpine MusicSafe Pro for the win!)
(For the English version, scroll down a bit)
Persze sokan kérdezik, hogy akkor most vajon lesz-e következő Wendigo lemez: nos, egyelőre úgy tűnik, a díj némelyest kihúzta a csapat inaktívabb tagjait is a ködből, és komolyan elbeszélgettünk ilyesmiről is, szóval never say never.
Másrészt ezerrel készülünk a STONEHENGE többi tagjával a júniusi MetalFestes fellépésre.

Hi all!
It’s great to see some real Spring out there! Let me quickly summarize the last few weeks and report some plans.
At first: it’s a great pleasure to say, that after the nomination of our first album, WENDIGO have finally received a Fonogram Award (the “Hungarian Grammy” for its second album, Audio Leash. Thanks to everyone who have helped, and of course to my fellow bandmates! Many people ask, if there will be a new Wendigo album or not… Let’s just say, that this Fonogram thingie helped a lot to those bandmates who disappeared in the mist for a while, so there are serious discussions about a new record, so never say never!
Well, and there is STONEHENGE. I’m really-really-really glad to say that after two years of getting back together, rehearsing and writing new songs, we are ready to show ourselves on MetalFest in June. We have many questions from many of you about the band, so let me just summarize some answers. About the lineup: there is a viking singer with a long mane, I guess you know him… The guitarist is Balázs Bóta and the drummer is Kristóf Szabó from the “classic” Angelo Salutante era. On the bass, there is the founding father of Stonehenge, Sándor Jutasi, and the keyboard master is János Czapár, the former member of After@All and Haelo. The first concert will be focused on the 10 years (!!!) anniversary of the Angelo Salutante album, but we will play some brand new tunes too!
This year AFTER CRYING is 25 years old, so we will have many concerts to celebrate this, mainly during the Fall. But we will play some shows in the Spring too, so check the “tourdates” section in the upper menu for some dates.
QUEEN TRIBUTE is also organizing some shows, mainly festivals, so be prepared, because We Will, We Will Rock You.
Okay, that’s all for now. See you next time somewhere, be sure to visit the “tourdates” section, so you won’t miss a date! Until then: metal upp your… umm… ears!
